< p > Francesco Caratti (between 1615-1620, Bissone, canton Tessin, Switzerland - 1677, Praha) was an architect and builder of early Baroque in Bohemia. His most famous works include the Černín Palace in Hradčany and Michno Palace in Malá Strana. The western facade of St. George's Church at Prague Castle is considered his work, where he very originally connected the original Romanesque basilica with the new front. < / p > < p > Francesco Caratti was the most important Baroque architect in the Czech Republic and Moravia together with architects Carl Lurage and Giovanni Domenico Orsinim. < / p >
